I published more than 40 Kubernetes related content in the last two years. The buzz around Kubernetes and the opportunities available is ever increasing.

We launched RedPeppy (Cloud Native Computing Online Courses) yesterday with 21 pre-orders for my upcoming Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA) online course.

During the launch, my thoughts traveled back to all those DR/BCP (Disaster Recovery/Business Continuity Planning) exercises. The IT folks worked very hard to implement DR solutions for more than 2 decades and they have been successful in testing them for various disasters and unexpected events.

COVID-19 changed the above matrix and understanding. It changed the way we look at business continuity planning. It doesn’t matter how your applications spread across the Globe, there is an impact on your SLA’s during this time.

Once the chaos ends, CIO’s will focus more on automating information technology tasks without human intervention. No other choice here.

Kubernetes is one of the prime tools that will speed up and host those automation programs. It will make businesses competitive and enhance ITIL processes. Therefore, it is very important to develop and nurture skill sets in the Containers/Kubernetes domain to build a sustainable automation process.

Cloud Native Computing Foundation (CNCF) is responsible for conducting Kubernetes related certifications.

The new version of CKA will be published on September 1, 2020 and I have summarized the exam information in the following table.

Since CNCF will introduce Certified Kubernetes Security Specialist (CKS) certification in November 2020, they reduced the security content in the new curriculum of CKA. The below graph explains the focused areas for the new CKA.

It is evident that CNCF wants you to focus more on Cluster Administration and Troubleshooting going forward. CNCF gets numerous feedback from users on how to enhance their practices and the change in CKA exam is reflective of the same.

I make Kubernetes easy for you. As a community practice, I started an Online Course portal called RedPeppy.

The first course from RedPeppy is Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA) new curriculum. Within a day, the course got 23 subscribers and it will grow more.

I encourage you to pre-order this CKA course today at RedPeppy and be prepared for the next roaring economy.

It is my responsibility to educate you in Kubernetes and pass the CKA certification when you buy my CKA course from RedPeppy.
